Blunt Sport Feder

Our first Feder is a light, safe, fast, and affordable sparring weapon for beginners and expert practitioners of HEMA (and Buhurt with minor modification: merely shorten the quillions and cord wrap the handle to bring up to sport legal weight.) It is designed to be safe on the thrust by flexing on the last third of the blade while keeping the rest of the blade stiff for the bind and parries. The tip is slightly flared and spatulated for safety. The extended wood core grip features a well-rounded rectangular cross section for a good gloved grip and blade orientation. The pommel is indexed to the flat of the blade, making for instinctive edge alignment with the rear hand.
