Buhurt 15th C Blunt Arming Sword

Our 15th century arming swords are forged of 9260 high carbon spring steel and tempered to about 50 HRc, providing a tough, long-lasting sword. 2 mm rounded edges make this weapon legal for most armored combat sports in North America, and is approved for use at Carolina Carnage (Legal for Duels, Melee & Women's Pro Fights). The thru-tang handle construction features the King-Peen system which is essentially a steel tab on the guard under the grip that is pinned through the tang of the sword. This keeps the guard from going loose after heavy use and repeated contact. The pommel is pressed into place and hot peened. This overall construction results in an extremely stout, yet balanced sword. Comes with a wood core leather-wrapped scabbard for carry and transport.
