Morion Steel Helmet

Extremely popular throughout Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries, this heavier version of a Morion features a comb or crest intended to deflect blows and strengthen the overall structure of the helm as well as articulated ear/cheek flaps and a holding point for decorative plumage towards the rear, Though associated mainly with the Spanish conquistador, this type of helm saw service all over the European continent as well as the New World.
