An open-faced version without a visor of the popular German Gothic Sallet. This variant allows for unhindered vision and ventilation, and was worn by soldiers across Europe throughout the 15th century. The rounded domed helmet with a central ridge provides an excellent glancing surface, and the pointed flange at the rear provides protection for the back of the neck. As with as helmets, we recommend an arming cap.
