Our historically accurate Lorica Hamata is based on archeological finds in Germany and the famous (in certain circles) statue of a Gallic Officer of Vacheres, Basses-Alpes from the 1st century BC. Lorica Hamata was the longest lived and most ubiquitous form of body armour used in the Roman Legions and their Auxiliaries in both the Republic and Imperial Periods. Utilizing alternating rows or riveted and solid 6mm rings, these pieces offer a high degree of protection and afford a great degree of freedom of movement. Available in a selection of sizes, we typically recommend ordering one size up from your usual to account for submarlis. Each piece is made to order, additional measurements from the buyer are suggested.

Made to order, please allow 4-12 weeks for completion and shipment.
