The Coppergate helmet is based on an archaeological excavation in the city of York, the original was discovered in 1982 and dated to the 8th century. Along with the more famous Sutton Hoo helmet, this is one of the most archaeologically important Anglo Saxon helmets ever recovered. Crafted a 14 G steel with a maille aventail, this reconstruction is fully wearable with a leather suspension system and chin strap. Arming cap recommended.
