Based on Ewart Oakeshott's Type XVIII's specifications, this sword pattern is typical of the diamond profile blades with narrow puncturing tips common amongst knights and men-at-arms of the 15th century. Capable of quick cuts and accurate point control thanks to it's 3.5 in point of balance, this is an excellent "all 'round" sword for most applications in 15th century Europe. The perfect piece to finish your Agincourt Longbowman impression!
A word on Atrim & T Pearce design swords:
Angus Trim stands as one of the giants in high performance sword production, along with other greats such as Tinker Pearce, Hank Reinhardt, and Paul Chen. These visionaries, among others, took the collected works of Ewart Oakeshott and brought a scholarly vision to sword production. They've managed to revive and sustain a dying art and we are pleased to partner with brands such as Hanwei and Kingston Arms, who work so closely with such respected names that bring care, and personal hands-on experience to every piece they design and craft. Gus and Pearce's swords take into account harmonic balance, point of balance, weight, taper, and every other factor considered too minute for attention in most lower-mid quality production swords. This attention to detail allows for not only beautiful weapons, but extremely functional blades that float and dance in the hand.
These are simply the best performance swords at this price point available in the world.
